Livestock Eye Cameras – Support for Existing Customers

Livestock Eye supplied livestock, farm, stable and rural monitoring cameras to customers throughout the UK for several years. Their products included 4G livestock cameras, remote monitoring cameras and the LivestockEye Box Cam for horseboxes and trailers.

Unfortunately, Livestock Eye no longer appears to be trading online. Its former website and Facebook page have disappeared, leaving existing customers without the support channel they originally purchased their cameras from.

At Zopkins, we already specialise in 4G, Wi-Fi and remote camera systems. If you own a Livestock Eye camera and need help keeping it working, we'll do our best to assist — regardless of where you originally purchased it.

Is Livestock Eye still trading?

As far as we can establish, Livestock Eye is no longer actively trading through its former website.

Livestock Eye Ltd was incorporated in the UK on 3 February 2020 under company number 12438952.

At the time of our latest check in September 2026, Companies House still lists LIVESTOCK EYE LTD as an active company, but with an active proposal to strike off.

The company's most recent filed accounts cover the period ending 28 February 2022. Subsequent accounts and confirmation statements are currently shown as overdue.

A First Gazette notice for compulsory strike-off was issued in January 2024, with that strike-off action subsequently suspended in February 2024.

There does not appear to have been a public announcement from Livestock Eye explaining why the business stopped trading or why its website and social media presence disappeared.

It is therefore important not to speculate about the reason. The available public records tell us about the status of the company, but not the circumstances behind the apparent end of its trading operations.

What happened to existing Livestock Eye customers?

This is potentially the bigger problem.

Farm and livestock cameras are not products that simply disappear when the retailer stops trading. Many Livestock Eye systems remain installed in farms, yards, stables, fields and other rural locations around the UK.

Customers may still have perfectly serviceable cameras but can encounter problems with SIM cards, mobile data, camera applications, passwords, power supplies, network settings or replacement accessories.

Some customers may simply want to add another camera to an existing setup.

Without the original supplier available, finding the correct information can be difficult.

That's where we may be able to help.

Zopkins support for Livestock Eye cameras

Zopkins specialises in remote camera systems, including 4G SIM cameras used on farms, stables, yards and other locations without fixed broadband.

Although we have no connection or affiliation with Livestock Eye Ltd, many of the underlying technologies used by this type of camera are familiar to us.

If you have a Livestock Eye camera that isn't working properly, you are welcome to contact us even though you didn't buy it from Zopkins.

We cannot promise that we'll be able to repair or support every Livestock Eye model. Different models may use different hardware, applications, firmware and cloud services, and we do not have access to Livestock Eye's private customer or technical records.

However, we'll be happy to take a look and help where we reasonably can.

My Livestock Eye 4G camera has gone offline

A camera suddenly showing as offline doesn't necessarily mean that the camera itself has failed.

With 4G cameras, one of the most common causes is the mobile data connection.

If a camera has been switched off for a long period, its PAYG SIM may have become inactive. Alternatively, the SIM may have run out of credit or data, the mobile network coverage in that location may have changed, or its APN/network settings may no longer be correct.

Power problems are another common cause.

A damaged cable, loose connector, failing mains adaptor or discharged 12V battery can all make what appears to be a network fault actually a power problem.

Before performing a factory reset, we strongly recommend recording as much information from the existing system as possible.

If the camera is still present in its app, do not immediately delete it from the app. If possible, take screenshots of its settings and record its camera UID/device ID before making major changes.

What should I send Zopkins if I need help?

The more information we have, the better chance we have of identifying your camera and understanding how it works.

Ideally, contact us with clear photographs of the camera itself and any labels or stickers attached to it. Please also tell us which mobile app you use to view it, whether it connects by 4G, Wi-Fi or both, which SIM/network is installed, how the camera is powered, and what problem you're experiencing.

If there is a QR code, UID, model number or serial number on the camera, a photograph of this can be particularly useful.

If the camera displays an error message or shows a particular status inside its app, send us a screenshot of that too.

Please don't post passwords or other private login information publicly.

Can a Livestock Eye camera use a different SIM card?

Possibly.

Many 4G camera systems use conventional mobile data SIM cards and are not inherently tied to a particular mobile network.

However, this depends on the individual camera.

Changing SIM provider can sometimes be an effective solution where the original SIM has expired or where another network now provides better coverage at the camera's location.

The new SIM must normally have mobile data enabled and the camera may require the appropriate APN settings for that network.

Should I factory-reset my Livestock Eye camera?

We wouldn't make this the first step.

If an older camera is still registered in its existing app or cloud platform, factory-resetting it can sometimes make a recoverable problem harder to solve.

Start with the basics: confirm that the camera has a reliable power supply, check the SIM/data account if it is a 4G model, restart the camera, restart your phone or viewing device, and make a record of all existing camera information.

If a reset is eventually required, having the camera UID, QR code, application details and existing settings documented beforehand can be extremely useful.

What if my Livestock Eye camera can't be repaired?

We'll tell you.

There is little benefit in spending hours attempting to revive a camera if a critical service it depends on no longer exists or the hardware itself has failed.

If we believe replacement is the more sensible option, we can help you choose an appropriate modern farm camera based on what your old Livestock Eye system was doing.

Zopkins supplies both static and PTZ 4G farm cameras, including systems that can be viewed remotely from a phone or tablet and installed in locations without fixed broadband.

Depending on the installation, options are available for mains or 12V power and for different types of rural monitoring.

We would much rather help you identify the correct solution than simply sell you whichever camera costs the most.

Replacing or expanding an existing Livestock Eye installation

You may not necessarily need to remove an entire existing installation just because Livestock Eye has stopped trading.

If some cameras are still working, it may be perfectly reasonable to leave them in service and replace or supplement individual cameras as required.

Contact us with details of your current installation and what you're trying to achieve.

For example, tell us whether you're monitoring a lambing or calving shed, stable, field, yard, machinery area or another remote location; whether mains electricity is available; whether you have Wi-Fi; and what mobile networks work well at the site.

We can then suggest the most practical approach.

Why use a 4G livestock camera?

4G cameras are particularly useful in agricultural environments because they don't require conventional broadband at the camera location.

A camera can connect directly to a mobile network and provide remote viewing from a smartphone or tablet.

This makes them useful for calving and lambing sheds, stables, yards, remote buildings, fields, storage areas and other locations where installing broadband or running network cables would be difficult.

Depending on the model, features can include night vision, remote pan and tilt, optical or digital zoom, motion alerts, local microSD recording and multiple-user viewing.
