Manually Setting The APN Details In 4G Cameras

Occasionally you'll need to set the network APN details manually if you're using a less common network — connect to the camera's WiFi access point, open its web interface, then enter your provider's APN details under Network Settings.

Occasionally, you may need to set the network APN details manually if you are using a network that is not as common. The following will guide you through the process.

Step 1: Connect directly to the camera's WiFi

  • Ensure the camera is powered up.
  • Go to your WiFi settings and connect to the network that starts with the name "MiFi", using the password "1234567890".
  • You may get a warning that internet is unavailable — this is normal. Tell your device you want to stay connected anyway.

Step 2: Load the web interface

Open the web browser on your device and go to 192.168.100.1. A page should load and ask for a password — enter "admin". You'll then be logged into the status page, which shows the SIM status and 4G signal level in the top right.

Step 3-5: Enter the new APN details

  • Tap "Network Settings", then "APN".
  • Tap "Manual", then "Add New".
  • Enter the APN details for your network provider — you can usually find these on your provider's website, or by contacting them directly. Make sure you enter the details exactly, as even one small error will stop the connection working.
  • Once entered, tap "Apply".

The new APN details should now be set and the camera should connect to the internet — the top right of the main screen should show two green ticks. We'd also recommend restarting the camera and allowing it to reconnect.
