Manually Setting The APN Details In 4G Cameras

Occasionally, you may need to set the network APN details manually if you are using a network that is not as common.

The following will guide you through the process of manually setting the APN details in your 4G camera.

Step 1 - Connecting Directly to The Cameras Wi-Fi

Ensure the Camera is powered up.

  • Go to your Wi-Fi settings and connect to the Wi-Fi network that starts with the name 'MiFi' using the password '1234567890'. (You may get a warning that it 'internet is unavailable' this is normal. Ensure you tell your device you want to stay connected).

Step 2 - Loading the Web Interface

  • Open the web browser on your device and type in the web address '192.168.100.1'
  • A page should load and ask for a password. Enter the password 'admin'.

You should then be logged into status page as shown below. The top right of the page shows the current Sim status and 4G connection signal level. We would recommend trying to get 3 or more bars of signal for a reliable connection.

Step 3 - Tap "Network Settings"
Tap Network Settings

Step 4 - Tap "APN"
Tap APN

Step 5 - Entering The New APN Details

  • Tap "Manual"
  • Tap "Add New"
  • Enter the APN details for your network provider. You can usually find these on your providers website. Contact your network provider for more information. Make sure you enter the details perfectly as even one small error will stop the connection from working. The example details below are for the EE network.
  • Once entered, tap "Apply"

Enter the 4G network APN details

The new APN details should now be set in the camera and it should connect to the internet. You can see the status of the connection in the top right of the main screen, it should show 2 green ticks.

We would also recommend restarting the camera and allowing it to reconnect.
