Checking Cameras Sim Card Status And 4G Signal
If you are having trouble connecting to your camera via 4G you can use the instructions below to check the status of the SIM card and the current 4G signal levels.
To do the following test, you will have to connect directly to the camera via it's WiFi access point, this means you will need to be near the camera (within about 20M).
Step 1 - Connecting Directly to The Cameras WiFi
Ensure the Camera is powered up.
- Go to your Wifi settings and connect to the WiFi network that starts with the name 'MiFi' using the password '1234567890'. (You may get a warning that it 'internet is unavailable' this is normal. Ensure you tell your device you want to stay connected).
Step 2 - Loading the Web Interface
- Open the web browser on your device and type in the web address '192.168.100.1'
- A page should load and ask for a password. Enter the password 'admin'.
You should then be logged into status page as shown below. The top right of the page shows the current Sim status and 4G connection signal level. We would recommend trying to get 3 or more bars of signal for a reliable connection.
